01Overview
aez20 is a compact processing module built around the AMD Xilinx Zynq-7020 system-on-chip: a dual-core Arm Cortex-A9 processor and FPGA fabric on one die. It is designed for equipment powered from 12 V or 24 V supplies, with battery backup to ride through short power losses.
The module is the common base for aegisel hardware. RF front ends and application carriers plug onto it, so one qualified core serves several products.
02Key features
- Zynq-7020: dual Cortex-A9 processing system plus programmable logic for real-time signal processing
- Direct 12 V and 24 V supply input
- Battery-backed hold-up for controlled shutdown and continued operation through supply interruptions
- Industrial-temperature components throughout
- High-pin-count expansion for RF front ends and application carriers
- Long-term silicon availability: Zynq-7000 production supported by AMD through at least 2035
